Jose Nine is passionate about his work with ProKids:
“As a ProKids CASA volunteer, I work with a ProKids CASA Manager and a ProKids attorney to learn
about the family.
“What is their situation? Can they care for children? Is it a safe home? We review any criminal records and look for signs of trouble. We also meet with teachers, parents, school counselors and anyone else who is involved in the well-being of the child to assure we all work together.
“By doing this, we provide that child the best chance at a better life.”
We share stories of our children so that our community can understand why ProKids depends on a mobilized community. We change the names of the children, and use stock photos out of respect for their dignity and privacy. The stories themselves, however, are true.
